WHAT ARE OUR CONVERSATIONS ABOUT HEALTH? What do we tell ourselves as regards our health?

Some of us think that:

I cannot be in control since:

- My family history shows….fill in the blanks
- Diabetes (or —fill in the blanks) is in my DNA
- I am afraid I will have —fill in the blanks
- The doctor gave me three months…

Others think that:

- No matter what my family history shows, I can positively affect my health by choosing to do so
- Even though diabetes is in my family history, I believe that it will stop here!
- I am not afraid of becoming ill, and if I do so, I will choose to do my best to overcome it, with God’s help
- The doctor gave me three months, but since no one knows my expiration date, the date when I finally check out, I will work on God’s time and use His support, the medical personnel and alternative healers to deal with me getting well

It’s all in the languaging: whether it is health language or wealth language, how we speak and what we say - our intentions - usually determine what happens to us.

As the saying goes, If you think you can, you can; if you think you can’t, you can’t…
